@akritas

So you give us the Ottoman statistics..... they only cared for peoples religious affiliation, which church they attended so they could tax them accordingly.

You are presenting us sources with a Bulgarian bias, they are most likely sourced from a Bulgarian archive, by the way were are you references?

The MRO that later became the IMRO was founded in Macedonia by Macedonians. Gruev, Tatarchev and Sarafaov were all Macedonians, would you like to see quotes that says the direct opposite of what you are claiming here?

All of the Macedonian leadership fought for an autonomous Macedonia.

In the above quote where Gruev speaks about Bulgaria is in the sense of the REVOLUTIONARY ORGANIZATION, the Macedonian was founded on a similar structure, the same goes for your own FILIKI HETARIA it was founded on the principles of the FRENCH REVOLUTION, did that make you French?

Before Carnegie were the Ottomans. They recorded them.
Are also deny and this?
Or you think that from 1903 until now the Bulgarians have disappeared in Macedonia?
Bulgarians from Macedonia established all the known organizations in case that you forget it. No you are not forgetting it but you deny it.

Dame Gruev's memoirs, the MRO's goals are stated as follows:
"We grouped together and jointly worked out a statute. It was based on the same principles: demand for the implementation of the Berlin Treaty. The statute was worked out after the model of the BULGARIAN revolutionary organisation before the Liberation. Our motto was "Implementation of the resolutions of the Berlin Treaty". We established a "Central Committee" with branches, membership fees, etc. Swearing in for each member was also envisaged. In the regulations there was nothing concerning the Serbian propaganda but we intended to counteract it by enlightening the people."

Dr. Hristo Tatarchev also quoted:
We talked a long time about the goal of this organization and at last we fixed it on autonomy of Macedonia with the priority of the BULGARIAN element. We couldn't accept the position for "direct joining to BULGARIA" because we saw that it would meet big difficulties by reason of confrontation of the Great powers and the aspirations of the neighbouring small countries and Turkey.

Dame Gruev and Boris Sarafov, leaders quoted in the known letter :
"The general staff considers for its duty to pay attention of the honoured Bulgarian government to the catastrophic consequences for Bulgarian nation, in case the government doesn't fulfill its duty toward its homogeneous brothers here in an impressible and energetic way, imposed by the circumstances and the danger, which threaten BULGARIAN fatherland today."

Do you need more Bulgarians to quote?

after Portugal-Turkey!!!

It looks like you are a little confused akritas, Bulgarian natives??? Where??? In Macedonia??

Why are you talking about the Carnegie Commission? They were in Macedonia at a later stage and they were there to see the damages done by the waring parties(Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria).

Bulgarians established the IMRO(Internal MACEDONIAN Revolutionary Organization) that is news to me, it looks like you have been listing a little to much to our Bulgar friends.

So to cut this short, NO THERE WERE NO BULGARIANS IN MACEDONIA.

Bulgarians? Are you talking about the exarchist Macedonians? The only Bulgarians to be found in Macedonia were the teachers and priests sent from Sofija, and some volunteers taking part in the different Comitee bands.

great book, also has a section on Kapetan Kottas, how he was a staunch fighter for VMRO and then crossed over to fight for the Greeks as a paid fighter, It also tells how the bishop Karavangelis betrayed Kote and had him killed. Provides Greek sources throughout the book.
